Sushi Taisho

Sushi Taisho is a restaurant located in Carlsbad Village, California, at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, Suite 214. The restaurant is owned by Chef Brian Yoon and his wife Misun, who have a long history of working in the food industry. Brian started his journey as a sushi chef at the original Sushi Taisho in Carlsbad Village and later opened several successful restaurants throughout San Diego with his wife.

The restaurant's story began long before it opened its doors, with Brian's passion for Japanese cuisine and his dream of creating a place that serves exceptional food with genuine hospitality. Today, Chef Brian personally selects the seafood, ingredients, and vendors to ensure that every dish reflects the quality and care that have defined his career.

The team behind Sushi Taisho is also important to the restaurant's success. Many of the people who worked alongside Brian and Misun years ago remain part of their restaurant family today, with some having been with them for over a decade. The restaurant's atmosphere is built on the foundation of these lasting relationships and the passion for Japanese cuisine that Brian and his team bring to every meal.
